Moray Eel

 
Moray Eels (more-ay-eel) are a large cosmopolitan eels of the family murainadae.There are approximately 200 species in 15 genera.The tipical length of a moray is 1.5 metres (4.9 ft).  the longest is the slender giant moray,strophidon sathete, at up to 4 metres (13 ft.)The largest in terms of the total mass is the giant moray (Gymnoxorax javanicus), which reaches 3 metres (9.8 ft) and can weigh over 36 kilograms (79 lb).The giant moray is widespread in the indo-pacific region, being found in the red sea and East Africa, the pitcarin group, north to the Ryukyu and Hawiian islands, south to the New Caledonia and the Austral islands.
